/ The brief

A city-wide collective of pastors, leaders and churches, many congregations, one shared hope: to see Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington thrive. A network that exists across dozens of organisations needed a single front door that belonged to all of them and to none of them.

/ The approach

Start with the message, and in this case the message became the menu. The network’s shared work reduces to five verbs, Connect, Pray, Serve, Declare, Multiply, so those five verbs are the navigation, the page structure and the pitch in one. Values and people pages sit behind them, and the whole site stays light enough for a volunteer-run network to keep current.

/ The outcome

One front door
A shared home any member church can point people to
Nav = strategy
Five verbs carry the vision without a paragraph of explanation
Sustainable
Simple enough to run without a web team behind it

“When the menu is the message, the site argues for itself.”
